Each morning I follow suite and join millions of people as they head to their workplace. I am, however, most fortunate that my commute is but a small step just inside my home studio. I mention this here not because I like rubbing it in to those that have to sit in rush hour traffic, but because it still requires discipline, patience, and a routine to ensure I get to my studio each day.
This is my work and livelihood, and being the CEO of my own business means holding myself accountable for getting the work done, especially if most of my work happens in my home studio. Despite what some may think, the romantic notion of working in one's pj's is not conducive for productivity. So, I never do that!
So, with that being said, I'll grab my cup of joe, and head into the workplace.
My (mostly) tidy studio...ready to tackle the day ahead. Because I work with pastels, cleaning up at the end of each day is important or my studio becomes a dust bowl!
